This painting is a portrait of my dance teacher, Angela. She is the most self-aware, caring, adult I know. Not many adults try to understand our generation's struggles and write them off as being dramatic and wanting attention. But, not her. She makes my dance community feel less alone, which fits into my inquiry question on what loneliness is

The medium is watercolor, I chose watercolor because it is the medium I am most comfortable in. I wanted this piece to feel warm, like a hug. So I chose the medium I was most familiar with.

This piece took months. There was so much layering that went into it and I'm not even done with it, because of this fun thing called deadlines. I hope to revise this piece more in the future and build upon its story.

This is yet another portrait of me and my sibling Bee. The idea behind this was we are in the victorian era and have traveled in the future to this cyber city. It fits into my inquiry question because we are alone in a world not meant for us.

I used watercolors again because I am a predictive person. I just really like being able to build upon my colors for it adds a certain depth to a piece you can't find with other mediums.

This piece was heavily driven by my inquiry question, I really needed to the viewer to know how lonely this piece is. And I can only hope I portrayed that well enough.
